And the Golden Spurtle award goes to...

Matthew Cox from Bob's Red Mill in Milwaukie, became the first American to win the prestigious Golden Spurtle trophy in the 16th Annual Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championship on Sunday.

Cox's porridge beat fourteen other competitors in the event, including last year's champion, Ian Bishop from Carrbridge, Scotland.

The contest is held annually in Carrbridge, Scotland.
