Safeway bows to customer demand, slashes prices

Safeway launched its 'yellow tag' pricing program earlier this week, cutting prices by an average of 25 percent.  And a company spokesperson tells us the price cuts will apply to anyone, even if they don't have a Safeway Club Card.

Cops looking to identify stolen credit card suspects

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man and a woman who allegedly not only stole a car, but then also stole and used credit cards within the car.

On Oct. 14, Victoria Wechter, of Oregon City, reported to the Milwaukie Police Department that her 1997, Honda Civic had been stolen between 5-5:45 p.m. in Milwaukie.

About five hours later, the stolen vehicle was later located, unoccupied and recovered by Milwaukie Police. This recovered stolen vehicle was found in a parking lot at the address of 5777 SE International Way -- a short distance from where this vehicle was initially stolen by the unidentified suspects.

Most drivers who use the crumbling Sellwood Bridge that is in need of replacement are from Clackamas County but it appears that Multnomah County residents may end up footing more of the bill.

Get ready for 'bunco night' at Milwaukie High

Want to put the "fun" back in "fundraising?" Join Milwaukie High parents for an evening of bunco, the easy game that anyone can play.

Winners of each bunco pod will receive $50 to $100 worth of gift certificates from local businesses. One bunco player will win a prize worth $200. The lucky winner of the 50/50 competition (tickets $10) could win up to $500.

Really annoyed the stadium announcer keeps pronouncing Jacquizz Rodgers' name as "juh-KEEZ."He began the game by talking about Lyle"MOH-voh."

The USC pre-game radio broadcasters and the university's own athletic director had more respect, recognizing the talents of the Rodgers brothers and how difficult they are to tackle.

Capacity of the LA Memorial Coliseum: 93,607 (which means it's really loud when the Trojans get it going).

Attendance tonight: 89,217

Last call for fresh produce, delicious food and hand-made crafts!

The Milwaukie Farmers Market wraps up its eleventh season on Sunday, October 25th.

The farmers' market is open this Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is located across the street from the Milwaukie City Hall at S.E. Main St. and S.E. Harrison St.

Milwaukie Farmers Market typically runs every Sunday from early May to late October.
